Sleek Makeup Arabian Nights Palette review and swatches

It came! As a huge Sleek palette fan, I was so excited when another limited edition palette popped up on Amazon. Their pigmentation, velvety texture, and price point can't be beat! This palette is no exception.

As usual, I bought this palette on Amazon, since this is another Sleek palette that cannot be shipped to the US just like their acid, rio, etc. It is a limited edition palette, so I am assuming it will be around only as long as they last.

Ingredients: MICA, TALC, PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM, MAGNESIUM STEARATE, ETHYLHEXYL PALMITATE, DIMETHICONE, METHYLPARABEN, PROPYLPARABEN. YELLOW IRON OXIDE (CI 77492), D&C RED 6(CI 15850), RED IRON OXIDE (CI 77491), D&C RED 7 LAKE (CI 15850), D&C RED 6 LAKE (CI 15850), BLACK IRON OXIDE (CI 77499), FERRIC FERROCY ANIDE (CI 77510)

I love that they named each shade individually, and the names are lovely. Now onto the swatches!

The packaging is the usual sleek, black palette. Unfortunately this is my biggest problem with the brand in general, their packaging. I give them props for making them sturdy, but they are so sturdy that half the time I cannot open them! This is the worst palette I have had in terms of not being able to open. I might try to have my hubby try and work with it so I can actually use it more.

The sultry, jewel toned shadows are perfect for fall, and just beg for a dark slouchy sweater and booties. All of these are swatched over Urban Decay primer potion. Here are the names from left to right

Top Row:
Scheherazade’s Tale: a metallic beige that is great for highlighting and the corners
Gold Souk: glittery, metallic light gold that would also be great for the corners
Aladdin’s Lamp: metallic medium brown
Sultan’s Garden: metallic dark green.

Middle Row:
Hocus Pocus: Dark metallic teal green.
Simbad’s Seas: Bold metallic blue with purple undertones. My favorite of the bunch by far.
Genie: medium metallic bronze
Black Magic: Dark metallic navy blue. Would be beautiful for a smokey eye.
Stallion: Matte dark burgundy

Bottom Row:
Sorcerer: Dark navy almost black satin
Valley of Diamonds: Plum with gold sparkles. My second favorite
1001 Nights: Black satin

These shadows are creamy, easily blend, and have great lasting power with primer. Can't wait for my rio rio palette on the way!
